General Description of Position:

To coordinate and manage the daily operations of K-12 Initiatives, to include but not limited to: Dual Credit/Dual Enrollment; Early College initiatives and all evolving K-12 partnerships. Work under the direction of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs to identify and facilitate new agreements, maintain current agreements, manage student admission, prerequisite testing, registration and academic advising. Represent the College statewide in NACEP activities. Confer with high school groups, prepare/distribute information, and stay abreast of educational and community issues.

Major Responsibilities: Customer Service Overriding Expectation: **Demonstrate a strong customer service and/or student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success. **Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported. **Go beyond the easiest or surface answer for a student, or an internal or external customer, and get to the root cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible. Responsibilities: Provide hands-on management of Double Up-Dual Enrollment/Special Admissions contract renewals and development, faculty credential verification, student registration and grade rosters and one-stop information for secondary personnel, Ivy Tech Program Chairs, dual enrollment parents and students, and academic advisors. Provide hands on management for Early College Academy initiatives, High School Drop Out Prevention Program, and Alternative High School Initiative including student admission, academic advising and registration, record keeping and to provide one-stop information for secondary personnel, special admission parents, students, and academic advisors. Develop and coordinate all activities and process associated with Fast Track Program. Maintain files, databases, registration records and grade rosters required for each program. Work with Academic Affairs to provide secondary faculty in-services programs. Work with the Marketing Department to develop marketing materials to support marketing of Double Up-Dual Enrollment/Special Admissions, and Fast Track. Coordinate college placement testing with Student Services. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree required. A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in program management and development. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be highly motivated and possess demonstrated planning, and organization skills. Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, participate as a team member of internal and external groups, and work under stress. Ability to apply extensive knowledge of area schools, Ivy Tech Programs and procedures, and young adults. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Ability to speak in public settings and one-on-one sessions. Serve as an education advocate for all participants and their parents. Ability to identify needs and problem solve for solutions. Must possess a willingness and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree preferred. Preferred candidate will have three (3) years of experience related to academic advising; broad knowledge of advisement processes; ability to develop and maintain close working relationships with both internal and external constituents; demonstrated ability to take initiative and make decisions; interpersonal skills; attention to detail; ability to handle major projects simultaneously; and, the orientation toward creative uses of technology in delivery of services for prospective students.
