General Description of Position:

The Director of Human Resource Consulting - IT Sector Partnership will create and implement business solutions in areas including, but not limited to, talent strategy, workforce planning, process improvement, mentoring, retention and change implementation of student and adult learning initiatives created and driven by the IT Sector Partnership and its training providers. Further, the position will create robust strategic partnerships with a broad client group by actively establishing rapport with technology leaders, pursuing in-depth business and technology knowledge, and facilitating cross-functional teams to drive solution-based responses to industry needs.

This position will constantly recruit individuals into the training programs and pair those individuals with the appropriate level of financial or other types of assistance to ensure the successful completion of the training regimen. The position will manage recruitment and ongoing relationships among Service Area IT sector partners, training providers, and student/trainee groups. It will recruit new employers and training providers, as well as students of all ages into learning programs. It will also collaborate with sector partnerships in the development of new training programs.

Major Responsibilities:

Partner with current and recruit new clients to develop firsthand knowledge of short and long-term business goals and objectives including through surveys supporting development of new and evolving training programs and platforms; Build strong advisory relationships with clients and partners across the business including performing information technology needs assessment for the Service Area; Identify critical focus areas for analysis, development and implementation of integrated solutions that support the business' global strategy; Design and administer marketing channels including website portal that would consist of information regarding the sector partnership, jobs, skills, training courses & certifications and funding sources; Share progress of the initiatives with stakeholder and seek suggestions and reviews on the existing work and action plans; Design information technology career, development, and training paths by assessing jobs, creating standardized descriptions and researching training opportunities; Recruit and collaborate with training institutes, education providers and funders to link their services to our website ensuring these are most timely and accurate; Recruit students of all ages into learning programs created and supported by the sector partnership; Create and track metrics.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Human Resources of related field plus 1 year of experience in recruitment, retention, student learning, mentoring and professional development. Additional experience required: 1 year of experience navigating complex and opposing business priorities to obtain desired results; 1 year of experience influencing and coaching business leaders; 1 year of experience in project management; 1 year of experience leading small teams by setting the vision, removing roadblocks and coaching; 1 year of experience sharing technical information to non-technical users; Proficiency in human resources, marketing, software, event planning, and websites, gained through 1 year of professional experience. Other experience required (quantitative requirement not applicable to this section): Graphic software; Customer Relation Management Software; Teleconference software; Website development software; Spreadsheet, database, and document creation software; Open Source Applicant Tracking Systems; Conducting social media campaigns; Email marketing platforms; Data extraction tools; and Online diagram software. Requires domestic travel 40% of time.
