|General Description of Position:
The Project Coordinator will develop community and business relations in order to recruit potential students for technical skills training at Ivy Tech. Along with enrollment, this position will coach the IT Sector Partnership (ITSP) cohorts at Ivy Tech to increase retention. This position interacts with Workforce Alignment, academics, ITSP, student enrollment and student success staff.
||Connect with regional businesses and non-profits to pitch training opportunities at Ivy Tech for our Technical Support, Software Development, Data Science, and Information Security pathways.
Market ITSP career pathways and training programs on social media platforms.
Connect with other colleges to recruit students for training who are interested in either switching to technology areas or want to integrate technology into their existing area
Contact and facilitate the ITSP training applicants through the understanding of training programs, training readiness, enrollment and registration process.
Responsible for tracking and recording student documentation throughout the process in accordance with Ivy Tech policy and procedure and any grant agency requirements.
Track the status of paused applications and maintain consistent contact with applicants to increase the probability of their enrollment in the future.
Meet with students who are unable to visit partner organizations or enroll and report the issues to ITSP for alternatives or solutions.
Coach ITSP cohorts to increase student retention. Make students aware of academic advising, counseling services, mentorship, career coaching, supplemental instruction, tutoring, wrap around services, disability support services, and student life at Ivy Tech
Record and report the barriers to training conveyed by the students to Ivy Tech and partners for alternatives or solutions.
Coordinate student funding pathways.
Attend community and networking events to represent ITSP and build business and community relationships.
Assist with organizing ITSP Events.
Assist with tech talent recruitment process for regional employers.
Assist with the Work-based Learning initiatives for ITSP cohorts.

Associates Degree in marketing, management, business administration, or public relations
Computer experience in word processing, database, spreadsheet and photo editing applications.
Proficiency in social media campaigning on LinkedIn and Facebook
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Creative and willing to take new initiatives.
Team player and adept in maintaining good interpersonal relations.
Able to research market information and present it in a very well-organized manner.
Adaptable and flexible in working with diverse people, industries, and areas.
Able to manage time between multiple projects and meet the deadlines.
Experience in customer service and problem-solving.
Bilingual, Spanish preferred
