General Description of Position: Serve as secretary to the Academic School(s).
Major Responsibilities:

Coordinate all academic activities with the Academic School Dean. Neat and accurate typing of tests, course outlines, letters, forms, documents, etc. Coordinate distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail. Arrange appointments for Academic School Dean. Receive all incoming calls, take messages, arrange appointments, set up meetings, make reservations. Maintain bookkeeping responsibilities, inventory control of equipment and supplies. Requisition supplies and equipment and update daily log. Responsible for duplication and collation of tests, syllabi, forms, etc. Maintain communications between the academic areas and other departments of the College Coordinate and/or work with Student Services and Business Office staff on matters involving students and faculty in these departments. Participate in the College's registration process: A. Utilize the Banner System for the registration process B. Assist with verification, accuracy, and completeness of registration forms. C. Answer telephone and walk-in inquiries regarding the registration process, programs, and courses. Maintain a log on expenditures and budget. Complete assignments as requested by the instructional staff within your area of responsibility. Type part time contracts each semester, coordinate their distribution and collect them after they are signed by the employees. Develop and maintain an accurate, detailed filing system for present and past student files. Handle travel vouchers for Academic School Dean. Overtime as needed. Collection of data for student files eligible for the academic school's programs. Other assigned duties by the Academic School Dean. Report directly to the Academic School Dean.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Must have office administration/secretarial training. Type proficiently. Have the ability to utilize the following software: Microsoft Word-Excel-Access-Power Point. Data entry experience desired. Must be skilled.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree preferred.

Official college transcripts required upon hiring and employment contingent on acceptable criminal background check

Work Hours: Day, evening, and/or Saturday classes; ask hiring manager for hours
