Develop and implement a strategic plan that meets campus and community goals and objectives created in partnership with campus leadership and consistent with and or complementary to Systems Office CCEC direction.
Foster and sustain business and community relationships, attend partnership meetings and other meetings to network and present, and engage, inform and secure post-secondary, business and community support with the goal to centralize communications on work-based learning in an ITCC managed WBL Hub.
Be able to set a positive direction and establish the foundation of the work-based learning agency/Hub.
Attend to community needs and ensure stakeholders satisfaction. Introduce reasonable adjustments to protocols to meet stakeholders needs.
Build and maintain relationships with businesses community partners (in conjunction with ECs), and facilitate their engagement to support the work-based learning agency and pathway development.
Coordinate and collaborate with the CCEC Career Experience Specialists to develop agendas, development processes with respect to new and or restructuring work-based learning opportunities, identify stakeholders and recruit employers/students (with ECs).
Work (in collaboration with Employer Consultants and Career Experiences Specialists) with businesses and community-based organizations to create, promote and maintain partnerships to support opportunities for students to engage in career-related learning.
Develop competencies, best practices and build in learning opportunities to advance competencies through Ivy Tech’s educational programs and work-based learning plans in collaboration with CCEC.
Work closely within ITCC matrix leadership teams such as primary stakeholders, South Bend-Elkhart Chancellor, Executive Director of CCEC, Executive Director of Career Executive Director of Career Experiences and Student Talent Connections (System’s Office), and other leadership teams to develop work-based learning plans, and support implementation of activities in alignment with the program of study that helps to support awareness, exposure, preparation and training.
Document and coordinate job shadowing, student internships, externships, work and learns, and other experiential learning through a data platform to capture, track and report outcomes.
Support the use and implementation of various systems, including but not limited to HireIvy, Salesforce, Contract Management System and any other identified by Systems Office and work with local campus leaders to maintain accurate tracking and reporting measures.
Track key outcomes to monitor progress and reporting on regular bases to multiple levels of leadership or stakeholders.
Support activities to grow the industry work-learn programs.
Collaborates with Career Experiences Specialists/Employer Consultants to identify and cultivate employer/student participation in work and learn engagements and experiences to bridge employer connections with students in both informal and formal settings.”
Work with academic Program Chairs to recruit, select, and orient faculty with appropriate academic credentials for the general education component of the programs.
Coordinate appropriate curriculum needs to accomplish related training goals of company-sponsored work and learn programs.
Coordinate the enrollment of Work-Based Learning Agency students/employers including but not limited to communications with students and organizations, registration, tracking and data entry and coordination for any employer requirements.
Assist in the development of grants, the financial tracking and account management function of any pertinent grants.
May develop grant applications for funding to support training, particularly for related training.
Communicates with industry/company representatives regarding students’ progress to allow for timely supports by stakeholders.
