General Description of Position:

Responsible directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs will provide support to the VCAA for work related to Career and Technical Education and corporate partnerships and ventures related thereto, including, but not limited to, academic programs, grants, and regional relationship building.


This is a grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon availability of future grant funding. The current grant ends 6/30/2023 and there is no guarantee for employment beyond this date.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible directly to the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs will provide support to the VCAA for work related to Career and Technical Education and corporate partnerships and ventures related thereto, including, but not limited to, academic programs, grants, and regional relationship building.
• This is a grant funded position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon availability of future grant funding. The current grant ends 6/30/2023 and there is no guarantee for employment beyond this date.

• Supports the VCAA with any elements related to Career and Technical Education (CTE), both credit and non-credit education, including, but not limited to, academic affairs employee professional development, equipment purchases, program administration and development, identifying community skills gaps in CTE programing, service on relevant boards and committees for regional and statewide initiatives, and fosters a positive atmosphere of creativity and excellence in academic affairs.
• Connects with individuals, corporations, foundations, and organizations that have made commitments via academics, the Chancellor’s office, or the Resource Development office to move grants forward.
• Builds and strengthens partnerships with service area industry to compete for and complete projects to advance institutional objectives, for example, READI grant.
• Builds and strengthens partnerships with service area industry to recruit new adjunct faculty for use in credit and non-credit CTE coursework, either via MOU or direct hire.
• Represents the College at community and industry events to engage industry and local economic engines in partnership with the college.
• Ensures grant compliance by meeting deadlines, adhering to reporting requirements, and compiling relevant data and statistics.
• Serves as a liaison between College and partners.
• Collaborates with cross-functional areas including, but not limited to, Development, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Career Coaching and Employer Connections, and the Chancellor’s office.

Minimum Qualifications:

Masters’ degree in a field related to Career and Technical Education
Five or more years’ experience in higher ed with a focus on sustained partnerships
Must demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain partnerships with service area industry
Must be able to travel within the service area to industry, economic, community, and educational partners, when required.
