|General Description of Position:
||Information Center Receptionist acts as the first impression for visitors on the Columbus Campus. This position’s main responsibilities focus on a welcoming environment for campus visitors. This individual will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests at the Columbus Campus. This position will work evening hours (4:00pm-9:00pm).
General Visitor Assistance-
Greets visitors as they enter the facility and provides information and guidance as needed.
Provides general information about admissions, registration, financial aid, orientation, assessment, and business support to students and the general public.
Assists guests in wayfinding on campus or directs them to appropriate personnel and/or department.
Maintain working knowledge of emergency/safety procedures.
Knowledgeable of the location of the electronic and hard copy of procedures when applicable in order to deliver information as needed to customers.
Distributes general College and Express Enrollment Center information (e.g., catalogs/program brochures/course descriptions and forms) to students.
Answer general student questions and route inquires to appropriate offices.
Homework/message liaison between faculty and students as needed.
Maintains appropriate inventory of necessary student and prospective student materials.
Collects and date-stamps student forms for back office/processing support.
Conducts all activities within the established guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
Assists with all special projects and mailings, as well as provide filing, data entry, telephone, clerical assistance and maintains general office supply inventory for the various departments across the campus.
Provides administrative and clerical support and assist with activities as assigned.
Facilitate food orders and other deliveries as they enter the facility to the appropriate party.
Organize reception area for next day’s operation.
Reads and understands forms for all departments and provides proper forms to customers.
Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
Compiles information packets and mails as requested by academics, recruitment, registrar, business office and retention offices
Communicates effectively with internal and external audiences.
Functions effectively in a team environment.
Follow all college policies and procedures.

||· High school diploma or GED with relative customer service experience
· Good typing and computer skills – Microsoft Office software package
· Excellent organizational, communications, human relations, and self-directed work skills within a team environment
· Professionalism within the workplace and thrives in a team atmosphere
· Knowledge of telephone etiquette
||· Two (2) years administrative support experience
· Associate or bachelor degree
||Works under general direction with specific instructions on non-routine matters and has well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate word processing/computer equipment.
Knowledge of Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
Experience with virtual communication - Zoom, Skype, Teams, or other virtual meeting platforms.
Ability to operate a copier and other office equipment.
