General Description of Position:

Assists the Director of Employee Benefits in the administration and compliance of the College’s leaves of absence programs. This may include processing, auditing, and entering statewide employee data into the College’s HR/Payroll system (Banner). Additionally, this position assists in the administration of the College’s retirement plans as well as the BeLively employee wellbeing program. Assist both the Assistant Vice President of Employee Benefits and Director with open enrollment, benefit administration and special projects as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

Update and maintain appropriate employee information in the HR/Payroll system (Banner) as it relates to leave of absence.

Communicate with employees on a leave of absence to ensure timesheet is completed on time and accurately.

Process all employee benefit billing.

Communicate with campus Human Resources on employee leave of absence issues.

Retirement and PERF reporting and data entry.

Work with campus Human Resources to schedule retirement symposiums.

Process vendor invoices.

Audit voluntary retirement elections.

Assist with administration of BeLively employee wellbeing program.

Maintain and protect confidentiality of all benefit files assuring validity of current information.

Other duties logically associated with this position may be assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Director of Employee Benefits

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma (or equivalent) with related experience is required.

Proficient in Microsoft’s suite of applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Must be self-motivated and possess a strong customer service focus. Demonstrated abilities to determine priorities, organize and process high volume detailed work.

Must be able to compose correspondence and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.

Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree with related experience.
