General Description of Position: Perform all of the essential functions as identified below. Manage all elements of academic programs or disciplines, including enrollment management, program administration, and human resource management ensuring coordination with academic and non-academic departments. Fully supports the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives.
Major Responsibilities:

Has responsibility for two or more programs, campuses or academic initiatives. Manage all elements of the designated academic programs, including enrollment management, program administration, instructional quality, and human resource management ensuring coordination with academic and non-academic departments. Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs; Provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; Engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; Provide institutional support and community service; Participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; Support the colleges mission and strategic plan initiatives; Conform to regional expectations of faculty performance and engagement. The following courses will be taught by the Department Chair and Faculty Member: P DBMS 110, Database Design and Management SDEV 120, Computing Logic Infm 109, Informatics Fundamentals NETI 100: Network Communications: provides students with a basic understanding of fundamental concepts in networking. All layers of the OSI and TCP/IP models are examined to illustrate concepts and to provide insight into data communications, networking and the internet. Students are introduced to the principles and concepts of computer networking with primary emphasis on the application and transport layers. CPIN 239, Systems Analysis and Design: students learn methodologies pertinent to the assessment, design, and implementation of information systems. Students develop the skills necessary to analyze, design and manage the development of enterprise-scale information systems solutions incorporating contemporary methods and effective organizational and global project management practices. Students actively participate in discussions, review selected articles, participate in team exercises and collaborate on projects involving analysis and prototyping of systems addressing real-world problems and integrating current and emerging technologies. Requires domestic travel a few times per year. This position allows for telecommuting.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or Business/Computer-related field as appropriate to the program plus and additional 18 semester hours of related subject matter coursework or continuing education semester hours, gained through a vendor or through the military. Requires 2 years of experience in the following: current Cisco academy instructor requirements in CCNA routing and switching; Microsoft technical associate (MTA) certification: database fundamentals; programming database management systems such as MySQL and TSQL; prior teaching experience within higher education. 40 hours/week.
