General Description of Position: The Ignite: Former Foster Youth Support Program Manager is the chief administrator of the Ignite: Former Foster Youth Support program in accordance with college guidelines and policies and follows the grant agreements with the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust. The program manager will implement and direct all facets of the program and monitor and evaluate all components of the program.
Major Responsibilities:

• Manage the Ignite: Former Foster Youth Support Program including facilitation of student meetings, quarterly Advisory Council meetings, program orientation, Coordination of annual End-of-the-Year Celebration, marketing and recruitment
• Serve as a resource to staff regarding the needs of former foster and homeless youth
• Coordinate with and advise program participants about ancillary services, which include but are not limited to: financial assistance, career counseling, academic advising, campus and community resources, assessment, mentoring, and tutoring.
• Provide comprehensive retention management for program participants, including the teaching of college success skills and service learning.
• Collect and track data related to the program participants as well as generate the appropriate internal and external reports for the Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust and for Ivy Tech Community college.
• Recruit and identify qualified program applicants and coordinate the selection of the program participants with the advisory council.

Minimum Qualifications: • Master’s degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Education) with at least two (2) years of relevant work experience or a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education) with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
• Prior experience with Foster Care Youth, Higher Education, Adult Education, Homeless/Unaccompanied Youth, and Trauma Informed Care preferred.
