General Description of Position: In collaboration with the Registrar, supports the review of graduates near degree completion. Provides technical assistance to students, faculty, staff as it relates to our student record system, Banner. Oversees outgoing communication to students and Records patrons from the Registrar Office via email, phone, and zoom.
Major Responsibilities:

1. As part of the degree conferral process, oversees pending of incidental degrees. Including auditing degree progress, logging and tracking information, corresponding with potential graduates and appropriate college personnel, and assisting with commencement exercises. Coordinates semester training on these processes, as appropriate, with supporting staff.

2. Assist students, faculty, and staff with troubleshooting technical aspects of Banner. Primarily related to: registration, program changes, and degree conferral (security, enrollment controls, prerequisite screening, repeat rules, holds, etc.). Coordinates semester training on these processes, as appropriate, with supporting staff.

3. Oversees the outgoing communication to students and Records patrons from the Registrar Office via email, zoom, and phone.

4. Maintain statistics from various ad hoc student records reports. Work with Assistant Registrar in the production of new reports.

5. In the absence of the Registrar, takes authorized action and uses initiative and judgment to see that matters requiring attention are handled in an appropriate manner.

6. Assists the Registrar and other members of the Student Affairs team with operational tasks as deemed appropriate, including campus and departmental special events and tasks related to student retention.

7. All other duties as assigned, consistent with commonly accepted practices.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree or relevant experience in registration and/or records in a college setting, or similar setting, required. Experience and knowledge of Microsoft products and data entry skills required - Must be comfortable using Microsoft Excel. Good listening and customer service skills in working with the general public as well as college personnel required, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to independently identify, research and report viable options for problem resolution. Ability to set priorities, manage time effectively, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse student, faculty, and staff population. Recognizes the need to maintain accuracy and confidentiality of student enrollment records.

Other Requirements:


Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm Remote with occasional on campus presence.
Hiring Range: 33,000.00 - 35,000.00
